Students from the Woodlawn Campus joined with students from the UChicago Lab School to take a seminar on the rights of minors taught by University of Chicago Law Professor Emily Buss and law students.
In the class, students study Supreme Court cases related to students' constitutional rights at school. The seminar gives high school students the opportunity to engage with a wide range of constitutional issues such as free speech and search and seizure within the school. Each class focuses on one Supreme Court case and the implications it has for the rights of students across the country.
You can read a write-up of some of the discussions at the Law School's website here.
