All across our network, students and families are celebrating the hard work and dedication of our scholars. At our K-5 campuses, both Kindergarten and 5th grade students are participating in our Rites of Passage ceremony. These students will enroll in the next chapter of their K-12 education, many at their sister campuses here at UChicago Charter School.
At our middle school campuses, students are experiencing their first "graduation" as they move from middle school, into high school. Many will continue on to our Woodlawn Campus for their high school education. Still others will venture out to selective enrollment, private, or other charter schools. And a few will, for the first time, attend a neighborhood CPS school.
For our high school seniors, there is senior commencement. Closing the book on childhood, and embracing their destiny as exceptional young adults, our graduates will be attending a panoply of excellent post secondary education institutions next year. Some will stay close to home at schools like University of Illinois at Chicago. Others will venture as far away as Pitzer College in Claremont, CA.
All of our exceptional young people can move on to the next level knowing that they have been challenged, measured, and found to be exceptionally intelligent. They will leave with their L.E.G.S underneath them. Leadership, Excellence, Grit and Scholarship!
