UChicago Charter SQRP ratings improve, almost all campuses now at Level 1 high performance rating
Posted 10/10/2016 06:12PM

UChicago Charter's 2015-16 results on Chicago Public Schools' five-tier evaluation scale, called the School Quality Rating Report or SQRP, show strong ratings across campuses. SQRP ratings indicate school quality as follows:

1+ Highest performance

1 High performance

2+ Average performance

2 Below Average performance

3 Lowest performance

The 2015-16 SQRP Ratings for the UChicago Charter School Campuses are:

NKO PreK-5 Campus — Level 1

DON PreK-5 Campus — Level 2+

CGW Middle School Campus — Level 1

UCW Middle School Campus — Level 1

UCW High School Campus — Level 1

A Level 1 rating signifies "high performance, a good school choice with many positive qualities," recognizing academic growth and attainment from UChicago Charter's diverse student body, as well as the various campuses' strong attendance and high quality student data record keeping. The UCW Middle School Campus and UCW High School Campus both improved from a Level 2+ to a Level 1 rating while the CGW Middle School Campus improved from a Level 2 to a Level 1 this year. NKO and Donoghue stayed at their respective levels from 2014-15. UChicago Charter continues to work closely to support the Donoghue leadership team to move their results higher while implementing a new personalized learning model. These strong ratings across campuses show the hard work that students, staff, and parents have put in to achieve this growth. UChicago Charter celebrates this major progress and remains focused on getting each of campus to a Level 1+ rating.
