We are thrilled to announce that Tumininu Onabanjo, a senior at our UChicago Charter Woodlawn (UCW) High School, has been selected as a QuestBridge Scholar Finalist. QuestBridge Scholar finalists are high school seniors who exhibit such outstanding academic achievement that they are the most competitive pool of financially eligible applicants for the QuestBridge College Match Scholarship.

This year, QuestBridge Scholar finalists had an average GPA of 3.91, and nearly nine out of 10 finalists were in the top 10% of their high school graduating class. Tumininu is among the only 14% of QuestBridge Scholar finalists this year who hails from the Midwest.

No matter whether they are selected for the QuestBridge College Match Scholarship, QuestBridge Scholar finalists may apply to college through QuestBridge Regular Decision. This enables finalists to apply to any of QuestBridge’s college partners with no application fee, and it provides finalists with a competitive distinction in their application. Finalists who attend a QuestBridge college partner will become a part of the QuestBridge community on that campus.

Tumininu, the entire UChicago Charter School community is so proud of all of your accomplishments and hard work. We cannot wait to see which college will have the privilege of enrolling you!
